In addition to our main campus in Charleville, from which teachers deliver programs and support students, Charleville School of Distance Education also operates the Thargomindah Remote Secondary Learning Facility.
Thargomindah Remote Secondary Learning Facility
The Thargomindah Remote Secondary Learning Facility is a partnership between Bulloo Shire Council, Charleville School of Distance Education, Thargomindah State School, and the Department of Education.
The Darling Downs South West Region (DDSW) of the Department of Education, in collaboration with Bulloo Shire Council, established the facility to support local students enrolled in Years 8 to 10 through Charleville School of Distance Education.
Located on the grounds of Thargomindah State School, the facility provides a contemporary learning environment for junior secondary distance education students from rural and remote areas of Thargomindah.
The facility was officially opened by Her Excellency Ms Penelope Wensley AC, Governor of Queensland, on Monday, 27 February 2012.
