Sport is an important part of school life at Charleville School of Distance Education. It provides students with opportunities to connect, build confidence, and demonstrate teamwork and school spirit.
Sports Muster
The annual Sports Muster, held during Whole School Muster Week, is a highlight of the school calendar. Students come together to compete in a range of track and field events, representing their house, Narungi or Kanyanna. The focus is on participation, encouragement, and sportsmanship.
Sports Muster is also an important event for families. It provides opportunities for new parents to meet others for the first time and for long-standing members of the school community to reconnect. A night activity is usually included to further strengthen these connections.
Swim Muster
During the final week of the school year, students are invited to participate in the Swim Muster, which is also organised around house teams. This inclusive event celebrates effort, participation, and team pride in a supportive environment.
Representative sport
Students also have opportunities to represent Charleville School of Distance Education through district sport trials across a range of sports. Successful students may be selected to compete at regional trials, with the potential to progress to the Queensland State Championships.
These opportunities encourage students to develop their skills, strive for personal bests, and represent the school with pride.
